Prelude:

Ayurveda is the traditional medical system of India. Panchakarma is a Sanskrit word that means “five treatments”. This is a process used to clean the body from toxic materials left by disease and poor nutrition. Panchakarma will remove the excess 'Dosha' and correct imbalances in them as well as eliminate the harmful toxins out of your system through the body’s own organs and channels of elimination (colon, sweat glands, lungs, bladder, urinary tract, stomach, intestines, etc). Panchakarma purifies the tissues at a very deep level. It involves daily massages and oil baths, herbal enemas, nasal administrations. Ayurveda recommends Panchakarma as a seasonal treatment for maintaining mental and physical hygiene and balance.

Here we aim to provide high level information on various Panchakarma that are practiced at Shree Vishwaparva Clinic (SVP). Please be advised that all panchakarma are conducted under medical observation for safety and effectiveness. One should consult registered ayurvedic practitioner to take the formal advise.

Please note Panchakarma is one part of the treatment regime and not just relaxation or soothing (commonly misunderstood). Some Panchakarma are contraindicated in certain medical conditions hence patients are advised not to initiate/choose any panchakarma on their own. Please reach out to Dr. Gauri Joshi for consultation in case you are looking for the advise.
